THE BRIEF:
To replace two old manual up and over doors with a more modern automated style.

Step 2
Step 2
On installation day two teams of two men removed the existing doors and tracks, the timber frames were left in place and covered with white PVC. The opening was then prepared for the new doors, with new track fixings being installed to allow the doors to run. A further check of the existing floor levels was done to ensure that the new doors would be in alignment.
Once this was completed the new modern Hormann Automatic LPU 42mm Insulated Sectional doors were fitted along with the Hormann Promatic Remote Control Systems, PVC was also applied to the surrounds in white to match the garage doors and our client now has two fully automated stylish doors with refreshed timber frames.

Results
The install took just one day to complete and all the components were thoroughly tested, which included ensuring that the auto-reverse function was working and a demonstration was given to the clients along with a run through on how to use the automated system how to manually operate the doors in the event of a power failure. Once we were satisfied that the clients were happy the installation team cleared everything away and took the old doors and framework back to our premises so that they could be collected and disposed of by a recognised Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) disposal company.
