Up & Over Doors

Up and over doors are available in various styles, colours and materials. Steel doors are the most popular up and over door and are galvanised with a powder coating and styles range from the timeless horizontal ribbed in white, to the traditional panelled style with windows or the modern vertical in anthracite grey, there really is a style to suit all homes.

Timber and GRP

Up and over doors are also available in timber and GRP (glass reinforced plastic). Timber up and over doors are made from Cedar wood and will add character to your home, as with all timber the door will require regular maintenance to keep the natural beauty. GRP doors are low maintenance, durable and robust. If you would prefer to design your own door style or match your house cladding, the open-for-infill door gives you this option while maintaining the quality mechanism of a Hormann Door.

Canopy or Retractable

Up and over doors can be canopy or retractable. The canopy door is a manual door, easy to open trackless door, which leaves approximately one third of the door protruding when opened this creates a canopy and this is where it gets its name from. The retractable door is suitable for automation and has tracks running parallel with your garage ceiling. The door retracts further back into the garage than the canopy and thus where the name comes from. Manual canopy and retractable doors can also be made more secure with a four-point locking system. Up and over doors come with steel frames to match the door colour and they eliminate the problem of a timber frame deteriorating and requiring regular maintenance.

If your garage also has a side door entry way then you can also get a door to match your chosen garage door style.
